FAQs — Chiropodist Appointments & Foot Health

Please reach us at admin@llfootclinic.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No, you do not. Chiropodists are Primary Health Care Providers, so you do not require a referral to be seen in our office for treatment. If you plan to use extended health insurance, please check with your provider prior to your visit.

You can book online or call our office at (705) 435-6050.

We operate by appointment only, primarily on Fridays and Saturdays, with some weekday evening appointments available. Please call (705) 435-6050 to inquire about availability on other days of the week.

Chiropody services may be covered by your extended health insurance plan. Coverage varies by provider and plan, so we encourage you to verify your coverage with your insurer before booking. As a convenience, we can direct-bill select insurers through Telus Health.

Chiropodist services provided by Little Lake Foot Clinic are not covered by OHIP. We provide a receipt/invoice after your visit that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement, if applicable.

For most patients, we recommend routine foot care every 6 to 8 weeks. For diabetic or higher-risk patients, frequency is based on individual risk assessment and may be more frequent.

At the time of booking your first appointment, you will be emailed a detailed medical history form to complete online. It will prompt you to provide details about your current foot problems and health. Having a list of medications handy and knowing your past medical history can make filling out this form easier. We can also assist you in completing the forms in-office upon request.
